Who knew that something old and discarded from the garage could be transformed into fashion jewelry. I certainly didn't - but Shelly Katzung a/k/a Sugrnspicy on Splitcoaststampers.com did. I saw her creation in the SCS gallery and knew this would be a fun project for the Try a New Technique Challenge.
I created two different types with my washers. The one on the left was created with alcohol ink and the other using patterned paper. Crystal Lacquer gives the finished product a great luster and is a wonderful way to set stones or other kitschy fun stuff to your design. I was in a hurry with limited creative time this weekend to get these completed for today's post, but I wish I had found some large beads to slip onto the cording to dress them up a bit, or brought out my soldering iron and got busy. I can tell that your creative imagination is beginning to churn up fantastic ideas, so I hope you will take a moment to join us with the TLC. CLICK HERE to be directed to the forum thread.

Lynn, Yours are so lovely! You'd never know that they were old washers behind all of the Pretties.
Thanks, again for giving me some recognition, for the challenge this week. I always enjoy all of the challenges.
