Cutting Ouside the Box (or any other shape)

What do you do when you want to frame an image with Nestabilties but the image is just too large for the frame you want to use? Well, you cut outside the box, naturally. It's easier than you might think and achieving this look is the focus of today's Try a New Technique on SCS a/k/a Splitcoaststampers.com. I used this technique on this adorable turkey today.

Isn't this little turkey just the cutest? With that sly cheesy grin on his face and those expressive eyes. One would think that he didn't know what was coming! *wink* I sponged around the image while the die was still in place...this allows you to keep a nice white frame while adding dimension and interest t the focal image. The trick to sponging like this is to move your dauber in a circular motion starting off the image and working your way onto the image. I love using my non-stick craft sheet for this because when I start off the image on the craft sheet, I can go back and pick up the excess ink and continue with my sponging.

If you would like to see how this is done, pop on over the the TLC forum where I have the instructions.
