An Untraditional Chrismas

One morning last week, upon waking, a thought came to me that I needed to make a card in yellow, gray and white. Do you ever have ideas upon waking? I immediately reached for the pad and pen I keep on my nightstand table and this week, I put the colors together for this week's Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge.

This is my version of a very untraditional Christmas card, since when was the last time you thought of Christmas when you thought of the colors yellow & gray? Regardless, it was fun to do something out of the ordinary.

I used some stamps from Waltzingmouse Stamps for the main circle sentiment, and to create the patterned paper along the bottom panel. If you look closely (just click on the image for a closer look) you'll see that the patterned panel is sitting atop a layer of yellow velvet scallop ribbon which is then sitting atop a layer of gray scalloped cardstock. As an added embellishment, I attached three silver jingle bells to some silver cords that hangs from the sentiment.
