Hi everyone. When I look at the date today, I can hardly believe that it's October, but yet, there we are. The leaves are changing from their vibrant green to beautiful shades of gold, red and browns. Ah yes - Fall is here.
I'm quickly going to share my project that I made for today's Try a New Technique which is called Faux Suede. It's a fun technique if you want the look of suede without the bulkiness (and cost) of the real stuff. The Faux Suede technique works great for accent panels, and also makes outstanding punched embellishments so I hope that you will take a moment to check out the TLC thread on Splitcoaststampers.com and perhaps try your hand at the technique.
I combined some patterned paper along with my faux suede piece and added some lovely Zva Creative color pearls. It's unusual for me not to use any ink of stamps on a project, but since I had the papers and the large scalloped kraft embellishment (received at CHA and now can't remember from where) - I figured to make quick work of this project.{Supplies}
| Paper: Pure Luxury Soft Stone, Brown, Farm Fresh Patterned Paper (October Afternoon - i{heart}papers) |
| Accessories: Extra Jumbo Flower Punch (Marvy-Gina K Designs), Color Pearls (Zva Creative - i{heart}papers), Looking Glass Stickers (Making Memories), Flower Punch (Small), Dew Drops |
