TESC88 Meet the NEW Crew

Last week Taylor held a wonderful contest in conjunction with her weekly Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge. She held a contest of sorts as a way to find additional members to add to the Sketch Crew, and the response was tremendous. There were so many fantastic submissions, that I can't even imagine how hard it must have been to select the 4 new members to the Sketch Challenge Crew. I'm so very happy to welcome:

Melissa Sauls - In Stamping Mode

Rachel Sztonyk - Gingerbread Gallery

Alice Wertz - Alice's Little Wonderland and

Lisa Hjulberg - The Craft's Meow

These four very talented ladies will be joining us each week for the weekly Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge. That brings us to today - the 88th sketch challenge and what a fun one it is too!

I have been "off my game" this week as so many unusual events have taken place in my life. My precious pup suffered a major injury which has required a LOT of special care and attention from me and my hubby. Naturally, we don't mind the extra effort, but it does throw a big hitch into our daily routine. Allie, our fur-baby, is doing OK, slowing on the mend, and the extra care and attention will need to continue for a few months.

The other thing that has me "off my game" is that my hubby is serving on a jury which has been sequestered! That means that I'm taking care of EVERYTHING myself around the house because he's not home. I don't like NOT being able to talk to him AT ALL. We normally speak once during the day while at work, and then at home we manage to spend a few hours just hanging out together. I just want to let you know that while I'm not terribly happy with my project this week, I feel like I have a reason or two for being a little distracted and not totally crafty focused! OK, enough whining and on with today's sketch challenge.

My card uses a set from Waltzingmouse Stamps and some fun patterned paper by October Afternoon. I had been coveting the Apron Lace border punch and finally got one, so naturally I just HAD to use it. I'll gladly add this to my other Christmas cards that I've been slowly working on for the season.
So here is a list of the full Sketch Crew...I hope you will take a moment and stop by each of their blogs to see what they have done with today's sketch.

Oh Lynn - I'm sorry you've had such a tough week! Glad to hear your puppy is on the mend and I hope that trial is over soon! That would make me nuts! Your card is really cute. I especially like the way you treated the 3 little sqaures on the side and that red metallic string you used! I hope you have a good weekend!

Oh, Lynn, you have had a trying week, haven't you? Poor girl! I do hope your fur baby will continue to heal...and quickly. We LOVE our pets, they are part of the family, so I know how awful it is when one is sick or hurt. And having your husband on a jury is bad enough, but sequestered? That's too much!

Your card is REALLY cute... so no worries about missing mojo or anything like that. I love seeing Claire's stamps.

Hugs and prayers for next week to be much better!
