TESC86 Night Owl

Did you know that in some countries, folklore says that events can be predicted by the number of hoots from an owl?

1 : impending death (I might want to scare a second hoot out of him)
2 : success in imminent ventures (whoot, whoot...that sounds good)
3 : woman will be married into the family
4 : disturbance (hearing the hoot on a dark and stormy night is in itself disturbing)
5 : imminent travel (one hoot would get me hoofin' it)
6 : guests arriving
7 : mental distress (uh huh - see #6)
8 : sudden death (could be true, but no one has lived to tell about it)
9 : good fortune (since you lived past 8, it's good fortune that you heard 9 hoots)

None of this stuff has anything to do with my card really, except that there is an owl on my card, but I didn't hear a hoot out of him while I was putting it together. I'm still trying to finish up my Halloween cards because it will only be a couple of weeks and I'll be sending them in the mail to their final destination. I thought that Taylor's sketch this week was perfect for what I had in mind for this card. What do ya think?

Are you like me and love to use sketches as a jumping off point when you create? Do you enjoy inspiring others with your creations? What about a discount at the TE Store…would you enjoy that? Well then read on to see how you can join the Sketch Crew each week as we hopefully inspire you using the TE Sketch!

Taylor is looking to add three new creative people to the Sketch Crew! If you’re interested in joining us, just create a card using today’s sketch and post a direct link to your creation on Taylor's blog by Friday, October 16th at 8 am PST. You may enter as many cards as you’d like. We'll be searching through your creations for the most clever and creative of the bunch! Taylor will notify the winners on Saturday, October 17th and they’ll join the Sketch Crew for the first time on October 23rd. Check out Taylor's blog for more details! Whoot, whoot...what a great way to start off the weekend. I'm really looking forward to seeing
who the new additions to the Sketch Crew will be...who, who will they be? Perhaps you? Here's a little inspiration to get you started:

Jami Sibley

Jackie Pedro

Sherrie Siemens

and don't forget Taylor!

This week's Friday Friend on the SASI blog is Sunghee. She also has a card to share with you today using this week's sketch!
