So Grateful

Happy Halloween to you all. While you will probably see a ton of Halloween cards on your blogasphere trippin' today, you won't see that here. I'm in a thankful mood so that is where my focus is today.

With all of the out-of-the-ordinary things that are going on in my personal life, it's easy to get into the habit of complaining. When I find myself whining more than usual, I will make myself STOP and reflect that I honestly have NOTHING to complain about. I have always been the "find the silver lining" kind of person and just like everyone, have times in my life when the world seems to have it in for me. But in the big scheme of things, my life is pretty blessed.

When I see this stamp by Karen Lockhart, I'm always reminded of Thanksgiving. Indian Corn just reminds me of all the iconic images of Fall and harvest...a wonderful time to be filled with gratitude.

I stamped my image onto white cardstock, then colored with Copics. After cutting with myNestabilities die, I sponged ink around the inside of the die. The mat that the image sit on is made from die cutting a thin coaster and doing the same die with the patterned paper and slapping some glue on them and presto...chipboard mats!

I hope that you will take a moment to reflect on the good things in your life today. It's WAY too easy to get sucked into the "woe-is-me" attitude and even when life is handing you lemons, there's always a few glasses of lemonade in there somewhere. May your glass of lemonade always be sweet and viewed as half full!

Beautiful card Lynn! I sometimes ALMOST fall into that woe is me attitude, but I fight it and move on. Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog and I can't wait to see the tut you have for me :)
