Just another Technique Monday

Now that I have that Bangles song running through my head, and probably being cursed by you for giving you that ear-worm, I'll try to distract you by moving onto the topic of the day...It's Try a New Technique Monday on Splitcoaststampers.com and I'd like to share my sample with you today.

Today's technique is an Easel card. I saw this wonderful card that was shared by Penny Wessenauer, Penny has given me permission to share with you, and the technique lovers everywhere this fun card design.

I don't know about you, but when someone sends me a card, I usually set it out to look at and admire for several days. With this type of card, the recipient will be thrilled to learn that the card comes with it's own stylish way to displace it.

There are several ways to create your "stop". I chose a button, but I've seen brads, dew drops, crystals and other jewels that work fabulously.

From this angle you can see the mechanics of the card. These are so much fun to make, and while they may have been around a while, I'm just now getting around to making one, and I don't think it will be the last.

Have a wonderful day.

Lynn, This is beautiful! I love everything about it!
I had to chuckle because I just made an easel card for Theresa to share on her blog last night for her A very Merry Christmas stamp set. Great minds think alike huh?
