Happy World Card Making Day!

All over the world, in every city and craft store, and even on-line, everywhere you turn, papercrafters are celebrating World Card Making Day. World Card Making Day began in 2006, founded by Paper Crafts magazine as a fun way to bring card makers together, and it certainly has accomplished that. Since that first day in 2006, each year the celebration has grown, expanding more and more each year.

Today on Paper Craft Planet (PCP) we are celebrating this yearly event with a Group Hop. By joining together and sharing a small slice of time and energy in creating handmade gifts we are taking time to say, "I really care about you" in an era of e-mails, twitter, facebook and text messaging.

To begin my World Card making Day, I've created a quick little card using some Unity Stamps that I bought from i {heart} papers. Nestled against some papers from Basic Grey's Indian Summer Collection which matched perfectly with some of my Prism papers, my card is all about Fall and how everything has a time and season through which we pass.

I hope that you will join in the Group Hop on Paper Craft Planet. PCP members will "hop" from group to group for challenges, games, prizes and more! World Card Making Day is one of the most popular times for creating and sharing handmade greetings as well as a great bonding time for those of us who share in this wonderful hobby.
