Wishing you Blessings

Hello and welcome to another wonderful Sunday! I especially love Sunday mornings...the quiet time before the rush to get ready for church. I love sipping coffee, watching an old (really old) black & white movie while I blog surf. It's really quite relaxing for me. I hope that you find yourself enjoying your Sunday and that it's filled with many blessings.

I wanted to share a card with you that I shared during the Gina K Designs' recent release party this past Thursday. I used an image from the Autumn Blessings set. After living in Kansas for 20+ years, I grew to love sunflowers. (It is the state flower, after all.) I admire the way that they grow so tall as they face the sun for their dose of sunshine. The image of sunflowers reminds me of life and my relationships with God. When I turn my sights towards the Son, I find that I grow strong and tall, able to produce the seeds needed to further my spiritual growth, and in those times when I think I can do it all myself, and turn my sights elsewhere, I'm frail and bend, slowing withering in darkness.

I stamped my image onto cardstock and colored with Copic markers and added a sentiment framed in a piece of Hodgepodge Hardware.

To add a little interest, and to better blend the bright silver of this metal, I used my Krylon leafing pen and colored the outside edges of the frame.

Thanks so much for sharing a part of your Sunday with me. Have a splendid day!
