TLC236 Masked Frame

Hi all! Can you believe that this is the last day of August...where did the summer go? It flew by quickly, didn't it? With the beginning of September, I usually begin creating Fall and Halloween cards and today I have one of the latter to share with you.

Today's card contains a technique that I'm sharing with the Try a New Technique challenge on Splitcoaststampers.com. It's called the Masked Frame technique, and I first learned of this fun masking technique from the Technique Junkie Newsletter (December 2008/January 2009). It's a fun and easy way to add interest to any focal image. Pop on over to the TLC Challenge thread to get all of the details.

I used some adorable new stamp set, Halloween Party, that I bought from Waltzingmouse Stamps. I embossed the witch with black embossing powder so that I could get a really deep dark image of her.

I used one of the sentiments on the inside of the card as well, to finish off the project, and provide a place to write a personal note.

Thanks for stopping by today...I hope you have a fabulous Monday!

This is wonderful, and I love the technique. I have always got the perfect template laying around my table since I can't seem to part with what is left over after I have used a die cut. Hugz
