Hi folks...after missing last week's Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge, it felt good to get back into the swing of things and so I'm here this week with my card based on Taylor's sketch.
I always need birthday cards. I happily send them out to just about everyone I know if their special day is coming up. I know that I always feel special when my birthday comes around and someone took the time to send me a handmade card, so it's the least I can do to return those warm fuzzy feelings.Taylor's sketch this week was the PERFECT layout for the birthday card I wanted to make. I did a little stitching on this card as well as added crystals around the image of the flower vase. I had to use a little restraint NOT to add some ribbon to this card, but I thought I would quit while I was ahead.

So are YOU ready to play? No - you don't have to make a birthday card, but you DO need to create a project based on Taylor's sketch (see above) and then visit Taylor's blog and leave her a link to your project. You could be chosen as Taylor's Featured Sampler for next week. This week's Featured Sampler is Lori Craig. I've been a fan of Lori's for years and she has amazing skillz. Be sure to stop by her blog and see what she has created using Taylor's sketch today! If you haven't visited the SASI blog, you won't want to miss this Friday - Lisa Hjulberg is today's Our Friday Friend and she is also playing along with the sketch challenge this week.
Do you need a little more inspiration? You'll find plenty of inspiration from the rest of the sketch crew...just take a peek.
and don't forget Taylor!
