Look! It's a Christmas card...another one. I think this is #3 or maybe even #4 now...I'm so proud of my progress so far. To even have one holiday card made this early in the game is a major accomplishment for me. It doesn't hurt that I recently got a few new craft stamps from Janlynn and since they were all holiday stamps, it helps motivate me in the process.
Today is another Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge Friday and when I saw the sketch, I knew this Polar Bear Santa stamp would work perfectly. I even got the chance to use up some of last year's holiday patterned paper!
I stamped the bear onto Pure Luxury White cardstock and using a Copic Multiliner, I drew a snowy landscape. After masking off the ground and polar bear, I used my airbrush and sprayed a background. I added little dots of Stickles to the sky and on the ground I used some Rock Candy Stickles (NEW STUFF) that I got at CHA. What a great effect and it really achieves the sparkle look of fallen snow.
I also got the chance to use some Fun Flock on the bear's hat and pom-pom. I have lots of Fun Flock and seem to always forget it's there until I'm already done with a project. Not this time though. So are YOU ready to play? No - you don't have to make a Christmas card, but you DO need to create a project based on Taylor's sketch (see above) and then visit Taylor's blog and leave her a link to your project. You could be chosen as Taylor's Featured Sampler for next week. This week's Featured Sampler is Julie Lacey. Be sure to stop by her blog and see what she has created using Taylor's sketch today!
Do you need a little more inspiration? You'll find plenty of inspiration from the rest of the sketch crew...just take a peek.
and don't forget Taylor!
You've made my day by poppin' in today! Have a fantastic Friday!
