Strange title, I know - but it sort of describes this card. I used three new stamps that I recently bought, made by Hero Arts and I was playing around with some new embossing powders.

This month on Paper Craft Planet, the Design Team's theme is Back to Basics. This month we will create projects using some fundamental and basic stamping techniques. As more experienced crafters, we sometimes create using the most recent techniques, but often forget about some fun techniques that are in theory basic, but can be used to add interest and create dimension.
I started off using a great background stamp on this neutral paper. Then stamping my leaves with Versamark, I used some great embossing powder by Adirondack.

Look at the great shades that this embossing powder creates. The butterfly was embossed on vellum which I trimmed out and attached with pop dots. When was the last time you heat embossed? Why not get back to basics and do a little heat embossing today.
Glad you could stop by today!

Awesome card, Lynn! I got that butterfly stamp as a freebie with my last Hero Arts order and hadn't a clue what to do with it! Thanks for the inspiration!

That embossing powder is the coolest! Love the multi-colors! This card is gorgeous with its bold colors, and I love the little ferns tucked behind the sentiment.
