Got Buttons? Who Doesn't...

Hi everyone and TGIF. I'm not sure if everyone appreciates the wonderful word - Friday - as much as I do. I'm fairly certain that all those who work outside the home at full time jobs certainly relish the mere utterance of the word. Today is a great Friday because I'm hosting the Potluck Friday challenge on Stamp TV. I've challenged the members (and you too) to create a card using buttons on them.

According to BBC Home the first buttons made their debut over 3,000 years ago. At that time no one used them as fasteners, but were simply used for decoration. These early buttons were fashioned from bone, horn, wood, metal or even seashells. At the time, belts, pins or brooches were used to fasten clothes; there really wasn't a practical use for a button. (WHAT?) So the button just existed, waiting for the next big innovation. AHA - card making. - well, not exactly, but there is no denying that buttons are a hot commodity in the paper crafting world.

On my project I used buttons in probably the most widely used way - as flower centers. Plain buttons, clear buttons and even a couple topped with dew drops. Let your imagination run while and let's see what wonderfully creative projects you can come up with!

So, break out those buttons and fashion yourself something creative. Pop on over to Stamp TV to play along and you could win your choice of a Gina K Design Stamp set valued at $24.95 or less. You have until next Friday to submit your project when, at that time, a random winner will be selected. Have a wonderfully creative day!
