138 Days Left

That's right...there are only 138 days left until the big day, Christmas, and believe it or not, I feel like I'm so far behind. HA! Every year I promise myself that I'll get a head start on my Christmas cards, and each year I fall short on my promise. *sigh*. It's August and so far I've made only two cards, so I am happy to report, I'm up to card three! I'm still behind, but at least I've added one more to the pack.

I recently received some awesome craft stamps from Janlynn and this little bird is just so cute holding a little "tweet" treat. I stamped him on Gina K's Pure Luxury layering weight cardstock and colored the image with a combination of Copic Markers and Spica Glitter pens. The holidays just sparkle with color and I thought some sparkle was in order for this card as well. I even added a little fun flock on the hat and pompom of happy bird. (Click on the picture for a closer look)

This sentiment is just perfect for adding some color so I brought some sparkle into the sentiment on the inside of the card as well.

And what snowflake doesn't sparkle a little...even if it is RED! :) I used a felt snowflake that I bought last year from Stampin' Up! but wanted it to be a little more vibrant, so I airbrushed it in a deeper shade of red and then using my finger, I spread a coat of stickles on it.

Janlynn have released a slew of new and uber adorable holiday stamps, so be sure to pop on over and have a look-see.

While I may not be close to having my holiday cards done, I feel just a wee bit better knowing that I've created one more...47 to go...lol
