TLC228 Stand Up Card

I trust that you all had a fantastic holiday weekend. We did have some rain on the 4th, but that didn't damper our spirits any!

I have a fun fold to share today. It's called a stand up card, for obvious reasons, and it's another great use for your Scor-Pal, although you can also use any scoring tool to create this design as well. I hope that you'll join me today on Splitcoaststampers.com Try a New Technique for today's challenge complete with instructions from the creative crafter, Penny Wessenauer.

My sample card uses a fun, sweet array of delectable images from Gina K Designs, 100% Sweet set. Who can resist cupcake images...certainly not me - I can't get enough. I stamped these images onto Pure Luxury 80# White cardstock and then colored and cut them out. I used the Top Note Bigz Die to create the base, stitching along the outer edges, adding some ribbon, my sentiment and a flower.
I've included of how the backside of this fold looks, and when I get ready to send this card to someone, I'll attach an additional piece of cardstock for my personal greeting.

This type of card is wonderful for those who love to display cards they receive, like I do. Whenever I'm graced with a card from someone, they sit on my piano for quite a while so I can admire them.

Thanks for stopping by today!
