Gina K Peeks - Day 4 - A Party and Tropical Windows

Today wraps up the previews of the new releases for Thursday's Gina K Designs' awesome sets. I'm sharing a project that I completed using Gina's new Free with 3 stamp set, Tropical Windows. What a fun and unique set this is complete with images and sentiments. This set can be yours FREE when you purchase three sets from Gina K Designs.

I just love the way that Gina's new Green Apple cardstock looks with the Rich Razzleberry. What a striking color combination...at least for me. I stamped one of the images from the Tropical Windows set using Versamark and then embossed the image with a combination of two embossing powders, making sure I carried some of the green into the tips of the flower.

Don't you just love it when you can use something from your stash that you've had forever, and never had it match anything until that one fateful day when viola...it works. This is what happened with this organdy ribbon that I found. I've had it in my collection for so long that I can't even remember where it came from, but I thought it matched wonderfully and made a great way to tie up the sentiment that I selected.

The embossing powder that I used gave my image a matt finish, which I love for a change from the regular shiny embossing powder results.
