Gina K Peeks - Day 2 - Timeless Treasures

Well, I made it. I've arrived in Orlando and made it to my hotel. Traveling always takes it out of me, but I wanted to share with you another preview of the newest Gina K Designs to released this coming Thursday evening. This set, Timeless Treasures was designed by Theresa Momber and if vintage looking images speak to you, then you are going to absolutely LOVE this set which is full of images to warm your heart and are reminiscent of an era bygone.

With vintage images, I'm always drawn to designs that reflect the vintage feel, and that's why I went with the Basic Gray and Soft Sand cardstock. I sponged Basic Gray inks on all of my Soft Sand pieces for a bit of drama. I even used a little ink to tone down the vivid cream of the ric rak.

I used some wonderful digital paper from Emily Giovanni that will also be available Thursday. Emily designs the coolest digital paper and this set is simply divine, working PERFECTLY with Timeless Treasures.

I made a background panel by stamping the two different key images in this set in a random pattern and finished the card off with a border that was punched and enhanced with a bit of ric rak with dots of Liquid Pears. Just a little note about the doily that I photographed with my project. My grandma was an expert crochet enthusiast. She made some spectacular doilies and tablecloths, all with intricate detail and she used the tiniest crochet hooks I've ever seen. I feel honored and blessed to own many of her creations, along with her collection of hooks, all of which I consider to be my timeless treasures.

For more projects made with the stamps previewed today, be sure to check out the other Senior Design Team Member's Blogs:
