Gina K Peeks - Day 1 Inspiration Mosaic & Elegant Post

Hey y'all - it's time for preview cards using a couple of the newest sets to be released by Gina K Designs this coming Thursday on Splitcoaststampers.com. This is always such an exciting time for the Design Team when we get to share some of the projects that we've been working on. The first card I want to share with you is using a set called Inspiration Mosaic. It was designed by Melanie Muenchinger. I love this set, with it's large mosaic stamp. The possibilities are bountiful!

I stamped the mosaic image onto two pieces of Photo Print paper and cut out two of the boxes that I wanted to highlight. I colored those images using Copic markers and adhered them using pop dots. This was applied to a piece of Marigold Morning cardstock and then adhered to my card base of Pumpkin Spice - an awesome new color from Gina K Designs.

For my sentiment, I used alcohol inks and colored the back side of a Time Holtz fragment, then flipped it over and stamped my image on the front. I love the say the word "thanks" seems to just float on the acrylic.

My next project shows just a couple of images from a set created by Nina Brackett - Elegant Post. I have been wanting a set like this for a long time, and was so happy when I saw that Nina had created all the images I was looking for in one yummy set.

I created my decorative border about my image by lightly drawing a circle on my cardstock, and then using that pencil line as my guide, I stamped the silhouette birds image around the circle. I then stamped my birdcage and birds within the circle. To highlight the circle border just a wee bit more, I added some pink crystals between each set of love birds. Those same crystals were applied to the center of the sateen flowers I used as embellishments.

You're going to love this set, and ALL the sets from this release. I hope you will come back tomorrow evening for additional peeks into more of the new sets coming to Gina K Designs. For more projects made with the stamps previewed today, be sure to check out the other Senior Design Team Member's Blogs:
