Countdown to Easter

The countdown continues, and I'd say that I'm now officially out of time to create any more Easter cards and still have time to get them in the mail and reach their destination in time for the holy day.

I created this card for Monday's color challenge on Stamp TV.  I've always love the color combination of pink and green and it seems to work very nicely with Easter cards.  Ever since the Easter Blessings set was release, I knew I wanted to try the "Stained Glass" technique with the window image in this set.

I stamped the window image using Stazon ink onto a small piece of Acetate, then on the back side of the image I began to paint in the colors.  Mixing a dime sized amount of Crystal Lacquer and a drop of re-inker on a mixing palette, I carefully applied the mixture to the backside of the acetate image before mixing and moving onto the next color.  After drying, the results are very similar to the appearance of stained glass - color but yet transparent.

I attached the acetate with brads onto the multicolor stripped background.  I was inspired to create this background because the design is very similar to a design that is behind my church's alter.

Thanks for looking in today. Check back tomorrow as I have some exciting news to share.
