TLC204 Faux Mosaic

Hello and happy Monday. It REALLY is a happy Monday for me since I'm off work today. Yippee!

Today's card was created for today's TLC on Splitcoast and if you want an easy way to get the look of mosaic tiles, then I have an easy technique for you today! (I don't know what happened to my color balance on this card because the focal image cardstock color really does match the green in the patterned paper)

I recently saw this card by Kathy Torrence, a/k/a curlycurlyhair on SCS. Kathy was kind enough to give me a quick lesson on how easy this background panel was to create. Kathy wrote a step-by-step tutorial for this technique to share with you.

For complete instructions head on over to the Try a New Technique challenge.

Just a side note: I wanted to mention the type of "sticky" sheet that I used. If you haven't tried DesignaTac Double Tac Tape by LaD'ore, you should. I bought a roll of it (a 15 yd. roll) at my local stamp store and have used it for so many different projects. It reminds me of carpet know that stuff carpet layers use to bond seams. Double Tac Tape works great with Goldleaf, embossing powder, beads, glitter, and is heat resistant. No, I don't work for LaD'ore...but I AD'ore their

Whether you are working today, are at home, or working AT home, I hope your day will be filled with happiness!
