I have some really thoughtful on-line friends. I have been receiving birthday cards from some very special ladies from my Wish RAK and RAK group on Splitcoast Stampers for the past week and a half. Yep, today's the day...lucky me, I'm another year older. HA!
The ladies from both of these groups make it their duty to insure that people like me are celebrated in a special way by making us feel special with these great cards that they created. Thanks to all of you (you know who you are...but for those who don't know, I've listed them at the bottom of this post) for taking the time to make and send these wonderful well-wishes.
Unfortunately I have to work today, but at least I know that I'll be eating dinner out this evening with my hubby at one of our favorite restaurants and no one can make me feel as special as he can. Sunday will be our family gathering/dinner and of course between now and then I'll be playing the, "but it's my birthday weekend" excuse to get out of doing things around the house I don't want to do....lol It's good to be the birthday girl.
I share a birthday with Martin Luther King Jr. This has always worked out to my advantage because growing up, when MLK day was celebrated ON his birthday (January 15), I always had my birthday off from school. (Big bonus when you are in Jr. High and High School) Now that MLK day is celebrated on the 3rd Monday in January, I still have a long weekend to look forward to around my birthday. Who could ask for more? I highly recommend being born on a day that is celebrated as a National holiday!
Thanks for stopping in today...it's made today even more special for me.
