I have been inspired with all the button projects that I've been seeing lately, and thought that I would use some of my thousands of buttons to create a Valentine's Day card. It's such a simple card, really - the hardest part that took the longest to was just threading the floss into the button holes...lol.
Using some of the Prismatic Papers that I recently got as "Candy" from The Paper Craft Planet, Prism Paper Group, I created my card base and background for my button heart. I had never tried Prismatic Papers before and I have to say that I am loving the shades and textures of this paper.
The flower center was created using an acrylic disk and some rub-ons from Stampin' Up!. I have lots of their run-ons, but always seem to forget to use them, but since I knew I wanted to use the acrylic disk, I thought using a rub-on would be so much easier than trying to stamp a small sentiment on the slippery disk.
I hope you like my button heart, and perhaps you will be inspired to use up some of those buttons that I'm sure you have in your supplies. If you do, please post a comment and leave me a link to your project so that I can take a look. :)

Love this card. Great idea with the rub-ons also. I always feel like I am cheating when I use mine. Did you emboss the little heart white paper or is that one of the papers that you were speaking of?
To answer Justine's question...I used a Cuttlebug Embossing folder called Love Language. If you look real close, those aren't embossed dots, but little embossed hearts. Isn't it sweet?!
Love this card. What a cute, and simple idea.
