Dreams are a Wish Your Heart Makes

If wishes could come true just by wishing them, wouldn't life be wonderful? I'm reminded of the wonderful song, "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" from the Disney movie, Pinocchio. We all have dreams and wishes...some silly, some unrealistic, some that can easily turned into reality with planning and execution. Wishes are something that really tell us something about ourselves. They give insight into our heart and purpose, so I thought it would be nice to have a place to write down wishes...any kind of wish - the foolish and the attainable. I cut a bunch of 1X2" strips of paper (which I didn't show because how boring is it to see strips of white paper) where I wrote some wishes, folded them up and slipped them inside.

This project was created for today's TLC on Splitcoast Stampers. The box itself is an origami box which is folded with no cutting or adhesive required. You can see the step by step directions on how to fold this box HERE. Melissa Stout a/k/a mstout928 has a great design here and if the box wasn't easy enough to create, the cover for the box is just as easy.

I hope that you will visit the TLC today and give one of these boxes a try. Perhaps you don't want to put wishes inside your box, and this box can certainly be used as a container for any number of things, such as gift cards, candy, or a little gift you want to give to someone special.

Thanks again for visiting my blog today. I hope your Monday is filled with good cheer and a little creativity.

I finally got a chance to try this. It took me a moment or two but I finally figured out the fold on the box (and then thought...duh...that makes sense!). Thanks for such a great idea! You can see it at the link below if you'd like. :o)
