Last week I opted not to participate in the Blogger's Challenge just because of the timing with the holiday, using going out of town, blah, blah, blah. But, I'm back and have enjoyed plenty of crafting time since being on vacation. (I could REALLY get used to this staycation stuff) Talk about being lazy...lol. I AM proud to say that I HAVE gotten dressed each day, resisting the urge to stay in my PJs all day long.Today's Blogger's Challenge was to create a project using Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze, Red (I guess any shade of red) and white or cream. Since I received my Basic Grey - Bittersweet paper from I {Heart} Papers, I have been digging into these yummy designs.
I'm pretty sure that the barrage of Christmas cards that you have been seeing on blogs and galleries will now be replaced with cards suited for Valentine's Day, and I'm in full Valentine's Day mode in my crafting. I thought this color combination would make a great "love" card.
While looking for embellishments for this card, I found some silver metal words in my stash. Well, I didn't really want silver because the little bling stickers are outlined in gold, so I took my Krylon metallic marker and colored my silver word in GOLD...then to blend a little better with the patterned paper, I sponged on a little red ink to give it a slight color highlight.I hope you will take a moment and check out all the other inspiration by my Blogger's Challenge buddies. A complete list along with links can be found by clicking the Blogger's Challenge logo along the left-hand sidebar of my blog.
My thanks go out to you today for your continued encouragement and visits to my blog! I really appreciate YOU!
