There are moments in our lives that are so profound that they literally take our breath away. Remember when your boyfriend asked those words, "Will you marry me" or the moment that you heard your baby cry for the first time? Those are memories and moments that stay with us forever. It's nice to be reminded that "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away"
One of the reasons that I love this Papertrey Ink set, Out on a Limb, so much is because of this sentiment that it contains. (along with all the possibilities this set provides)
This card started out as something completely different, as do many of the cards that I make, but my way of creating is more of a "create-as-you-go" method. It's not always efficient, but I haven't learned to do it another way yet that feels right, so until I find something else that works better, it's my method. This card was going to be browns and blues, but after I embossed my Chocolate Chip craft ink, it looked so black that I went in a whole different direction. Does that ever happen to you? Isn't that the way it is with life as well? You start out in one direction, but things happen you don't expect that take you on a whole other path. My life is nothing like I thought it would be when I was in my early 20's, but I have to say that I wouldn't want it ANY other way.
I appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to stop by. Thanks so much for all of your wonderfully encouraging comments. They all mean so much to me! I hope you have a fabulous day and that you savor each and every moment, and that one of those moments will be one that "takes your breath away"!
