I made this card a week ago, and as I was working on it I kept thinking to myself, "surely the weather will turn next week". It turned alright...it actually got warmer! So, if by nothing else but directed determination, I'm forcing myself to pretend that it's cool outdoors, that a sweater is required to go outdoors and that I'm wearing socks to bed at night...as if by merely wishing it so, would bring about this reality.
This image is from the Thoroughly Thankful set, which I stamped on Confetti Cream card stock using Palette Burnt Umber and then colored with my Copic markers. I cut the image and the matting out using my Nestabilities. The color scheme was taken directly from a card sample in the Fall/Winter Collection catalog. I loved the orange and browns with the Cool Caribbean background.
The sentiment was stamped with the same Burnt Umber onto a piece of twill tape. I swear, I've had this twill tape for the longest time and only recently started using it. It's perfect for Fall cards, IMHO. I ran the twill through my Xyron 150 which works really well for ribbons and heavier fabric. I attached a couple of primas to the end of the twill with a brad.
Thanks for checking in today...and here's hoping for some REAL Fall weather!!!

It's beautiful! We've not had much fall weather either, and I want to break out my halloween stockings. But it needs to chill just a bit first! Great card. Love your blog!
