I fell in love with this cute little reindeer from the moment I started seeing the samples on blogs that I regularly visit. Let me introduce you to Kissy Deer by C.C. Designs. I got him from All That Scraps.
I think that if I truly was interested in curbing my spending on stamps and stamping paraphernalia, I would go "cold turkey" on my sblurfing...but since that ain't happenin' any time soon, I'll just keep on being enabled by the masses.
My card base is Papertrey's (another favorite enabling site) Stamper Select card stock. I then stamped my border of Christmas lights by Lockhart Stamps with Palette Noir and colored them in with Copic markers. To give the lights real glimmer, I went over each bulb with my new favorite sparklie pen, Copic Atyou Clear Glitter Pen. I stamped this sweet deer onto Whisper White card stock (again with Noir) and then colored him with a combination of Copic Markers and Prismacolor Pencils, blending with gamsol and mounted him onto a piece of Handsome Hunter card stock. Using my new star punch from SU! I cut 3 red stars and attached them with white brads from my stash.
My sentiment, by A-Muse, was also stamped onto Whisper White card stock with Real Red classic ink and cut into an oval using my Nestabilities and then layered onto green, and finally onto Real Red, also cut using my Nestabilities. I grabbed my Papertrey "Believe" set for the holly accent at the top.
I think I'll probably be making a few more of these cards to add to my Christmas cards that I'll be sending out this year. Hopefully, this Kissy Deer will make the receiver smile. I know he make ME smile!
With the holidays fast approaching, I'll be working on Christmas gifts over the next several weeks, which I probably won't be able to share with you because my family also checks out my blog, and I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise for them, so if I don't post as much as I normally do, it isn't because I'm not creating. Thanks for stopping in today. Have I enabled you??? I really should apologize in advance. LOL
