{{{Hug}}} a Friend - Go on...DO IT}

I'm not exactly sure what prompted me to make this card...other than the image was gifted to me by a generous soul on Wish RAK, and I felt compelled to make a card...PLUS, I was trying to use up the patterned paper that I still had on my craft table from a week ago. Currently my craft space is a total disaster and rather than just clean it up, I keep trying to make cards out of the bits and pieces cluttering the entire surface of my table.

This is "Huggybellas" and I just love girlfriend-type stamps. These are some of the most lasting and important relationships we can have in our lives, and while I dearly L O V E my DH, there is just some kind of special bond between sistahs...KWIM? Anywho, I colored them using my trusty Copic markers, pulling colors from my patterned paper.

The base of this card as well as the matting for my Bella image is So Saffron card stock. With my Nestabilities die, I cut and embossed a piece wider than I would need because I wanted to adorn one side with these cute little teeny-weeny brads that I had in my stash. Then, using a square clear button that I backed with another piece of So Saffron card stock, ran ribbon through the holes and topped it off with a heart-topped stick pin made by ???. The button was then attached to the paper using a glue dot.

Remember, a hug doesn't have to be done with your with this card, this hug is being sent via the USPS. Whether done in person, or through a gesture of kindness, the feeling is the same; warm and fuzzy!

I'm sending YOU a big hug today, thanking you for stopping by and for the very nice comments you have been leaving me. Talk about a WARM FUZZY! Please stop back by tomorrow for the weekly Blogger's Challenge!

Stamps: Huggybella by Stamping Bella; Papers: So Saffron, Whisper White, Patterned paper from DCWV Glitter Stack; Inks: Black; Accessories: Nestabilities, Teeny-tiny brads from stash, Clear Button by SU!, Ribbon from Michael's, Copic Markers.

This is so cute! The paper is just gorgeous and I love your idea of just using it up to clean up your space. Beautiful card.
