The last couple of days has really reminded me that it truly is fall. Yesterday it was in the mid 30s and this morning it was only 40 degrees. I can hear laughing from those of you reading this who live in Canada or other northern states that have MUCH colder temperatures than this, but you have to remember that I'm a California girl at heart and no matter how long I live in the Midwest, I'll never get used to the cold. This is especially true just after the weather changes from Summer to Fall.
I made this card because it made me feel just a little warmer to see this adorable Snowbunnybella all wrapped up in her winter parka. One of my Bella Sistahs from the bellaholicsanonymous Yahoo group sent some of these cute images to me so I immediately went to work.
I started with some Going Grey card stock to create my base. The patterned paper is from a huge paper stack that I have had forever, but with the snow on the barren branches, I thought it went perfectly. I colored the Bella with my copic markers and for a little added fun, I used my two-way glue and added some white Fun Frock to her hood, sleeves, boot tops and pom-poms. It's impossible to see in the photo but IRL it looks pretty cool. I adhered her to a piece of Going Grey and then onto a scrap of Basic Grey using some dimensionals for lift.
The band that runs horizontally is a piece of Going Grey on which I adhered another piece of Basic Grey that I had stamped with some miscellaneous snowflakes using white craft ink.
To embellish the card I attached some crystal snowflakes and bling to a punched photo corner and attached the sentiment in the opposite corner.
